How does a hotel achieve Green Globe certification?
Step 1 : the hotel registers on a voluntary basis,
Step 2 : Green Globe monitors and assesses the hotel’s performances in * areas (implementation of a sustainable development policy, water consumption, energy consumption, waste management, paper consumption, pesticide use, cleaning and hygiene product use, local community involvement),
Step 3 : based on the performance assessment, the hotel implements a plan of action and practical measures to improve its weak points and achieve the goals set by Green Globe,
Step 4 :assuming these steps lead to an improvement in the hotel’s performance and meet the Green Globe requirements, the hotel is certified by external, independent auditors.
