easyJet is set to launch its first 15 Hour Blogger Challenge to four secret destinations.
It’ll be easyJet’s 15th birthday in November 2010 and as part of the celebrations, tickets are booked, bags are packed and four the bloggers have been selected for the 15 hour Blogger Challenge.
Each week throughout October, a prominent travel blogger will fly with easyJet to an undisclosed location within Europe to take on the challenge of visiting as much of the city as possible – within a 15 hour timeframe and on a limited budget.
To complete the challenge each blogger will receive:
- One return ticket to the destination
- £100 spending money
- An easyJet destination guide for the secret city
- Overnight accommodation
Each blogger’s journey can be followed on Twitter and Foursquare and will be captured on camera and uploaded onto YouTube and Facebook with a link to their travel blog outlining the destination and experience.
Once all four journeys are complete it will be up to the easyJet Facebook community to vote for the trip they feel best captures the secret destination in terms of uniqueness, value for money and entertainment within the boundaries set. All those who cast a vote will be in with a chance of winning a short break to the featured winning city!
The four travel bloggers are
- Kash Bhattacharya from Europe Budget Guide
- Paul Smith from Twitchhiker
- Karen Bryan from Europe a la Carte
- Matt Preston from Travel With A Mate
You can also follow the challenges with easyJet on Facebook or on Twitter. Also, look out for the feature articles in the November and December issues of the easyJet Traveller Inflight magazine.
So, the big question…To which European destinations will easyJet be sending their bloggers to?
The Low Cost Traveller will keep you informed and up to date on the easyJet 15 hour Blogger Challenge. To find out about easyJet’s environmental efforts, see Green New Orange.
